i believe that the photos show them to be very blue but they aren't that bad looking at them with the naked eye
spot on. The photos were all taken on my phone as it was quick and easy (Sony Ericsson W810i). In real life mine are really really white with a nice tint of blue.
The pics were also taken when the bulbs were still warming up, so even more reason for the "blueness".
Mine are brighter than halogen, as you'd expect, but are definitely not dazzling. I still haven't been flashed by any1.
FR*Man1984- you will find that the higher up the temperature ratings you go, the less lumen's the bulbs give out. e.g. mine are 6000k which are crystal white, the violet/purple bulbs are 12000k, which will give off a hell of a lot less "light".
This is the reason HIDs4U recommend the 5300k GE bulbs, as they are brighter. When people ask for blue bulbs, they could say "get the 8000k" which are a deep blue, but due to the
lower lumen's, they recommend the 6000k.
