Looking good matey...

Thanks Dan.... :drool::drool::drool:

It does seem to make a difference to them as they look to fill the arch abit better. :)

Yeh I agree, they do fill the arches better, but ideally I want 10-15mm spacers. Might get a set at some point, and move these to the front.

this thing looks great dude.... im liking the painting on various parts alot. :)

Cheers mate, as I've said before, I want to make this a bit more unique; the camo paint job is the first step. Need to get my ass into gear and crack on with the next step ;)

I've got a week off work next week, so the car is booked in for the remap on the 7th (Tuesday - get in :funk:), and I think I'll be ordering some consumables (oil, oil filter, cam follower is ordered, possibly front tyres) to fit throughout the week.

Can't wait to see what it makes after the map is on!

As already said mate, cars looking good, Looking forward to seeing what the car gets after the remap.

Looking good mate.

I'm undecided about the camo badges but pictures may not do it justice and I'm a big fan of doing something a bit different.

Interior changes are nice and subtle but personally I'd resist the tremptation to add anymore white to the dashboard or elsewhere i the interior as thing it may be overkill!

I'm interested in thid DV problem. I know yours split but whats the main difference between the original one and the revision D one?
It maybe me just getting used to my power but I have been feeling recently that mine has ben lacking ponies and did only pull 225bhp as standard on the rollers and wondering if it could be my DV causing the problem?

I think when I get a mo I might just take it out and have a look and replace it anyway. If it's weak, no point in keeping it.

Weitecs look good, interesting choice. Not done any handling mods to mine yet but it defo needs it but was favouring the eibach pro kit. So much difference in price from one set of coilovers to the next it is difficult to know whats good, whats bad and woulds a good compromise!!

Keep up the good work, I'll watch with interest :)

Cheers mate, appreciate it :D

Regarding the dumpvalve, it's defiantely worth a shot. Will at p-torque said that he rarely sees the bog standard Cupras pull under 260 bhp on the first run, so 225 bhp is defiantely down on power. Surely the dyno lottery can't produce differences of 40 bhp, can they?!

I won't be doing the dash in white, decided against it pretty soon after I did the other bits. May look at carbon wrapping it now instead (using Di-noc). I'll have a think after trax.

The Weitecs really are quality. The ride is smooth, not very bumpy over rough roads, and there is pretty much no body roll now. Coupled with the Neuspeed ARB the handling is awesome.

Just need some new front tyres now, will be purchasing them in the next 2 weeks :D

hey invisible, when yours ran 225 its because your dv's diaphrams split defo. Mine ran 273 standard ! Hilla was there haha. The new valve is spring loaded and dead easy to fit itl feel alot better.

Update

Saturday saw me travel to P-Torque for the stage 1 map and dyno runs.*

All I can say is....gutted! Dyno runs confirmed my recent suspicions that the car has felt a bit sluggish and slow, after initially feeling a lot quicker after the TwinTake. Will had a look at the logs and came to the diagnosis that my DV diaphragm had split. This was confirmed when the car rolled a 220bhp and 210lbft on the dyno.*

Unfortunately Will didn't have any of the Mk2 Cupra Rev D valves in stock, so I had to go home without the map on. Damn.*

I have now ordered a new OEM DV to replace the split item, and will anxiously await the fitment to see if it feels better.*

Sunday saw the fitting of my new coilover kit, so at least I could even out the low of not having a remap with the new suspension.*

In the en I bought the Weitec Hicon Gt kit, which came from Damian at DPM Performance. Top man and very quick delivery once I changed the order from the APs I was originally going to have.*

Anyways, some pictures of the last few days:*

On the rollers at P-Torque

The Weitec kit:

Fitted and height adjusted:

First impressions of the kit are...well...awesome! The car now has no roll, and soaks up bumps brilliantly. The ride isn't harsh, and makes the car even more controllable. I can't test them properly as I'm trying to keep off boost as much as possible (due to the split DV), but I still managed to tripod the car round an island. The turn in is so much more improved, it's inspiring!*

Let the proper tests begin once the car is healthy and mapped!*

Next up after the DV has been installed and the car has been mapped, is a weight loss programme in the form of rear seat bench, trim and spare wheel/tools. Then I'll be happy....for now :D

Anyone knows if they sell a kit like that for a MK4 cupra or what the best coilover kit is for those when my shocks go I rather spend the bucks on a coilover kit. cheers

Had the car mapped today by Will at P-Torque :D The car made 262bhp and 230lbft torque standard, and mapped made a peak of 314bhp and 300lbft of torque.

All I can say is.....WOW!! The power is immense! So much more useable, and pulls really hard throughout the rev range :D :D

It pissed it down all the way home + I don't have much in the way of front tyres = lots of wheelspin! Can't wait to go out and give it a thrash when it's dry!

Big thanks to Will for the excellent and professional service. I thouroghly recommend P-Torque, well worth any travel to him - it's a blessing I live 25minutes away!
