i spin it against clock wise, but its just get to a point when it spins free
what is the trick ?

thanks :)

Pull it then spin it anticlockwise also. The thread on mine was a bit funny like that too

been posted a few timesi think, including me :D

spin it anti clockwise, push down and yank it till it comes out lol

Yeah just keep spinning till it comes loose, then put one hand on the base and yank hard with the other hand and it should come off.....er dont take that the wrong way!!!

forgot to say... push down on the base... and thennnnnnnn pull lol

Otherwise it might just, errr.....come off in ur hand!! Why do these aerial removal threads always sound so bad????

Thanx guys, thanks to those posts i managed to change my antena too ... there were a few curse words but it was succsessful :)

Only thing I had to do was trim the bottom rubber down a bit. If not lots fit a Citroen c2 aerial. Hope this helps.?

I am a mechanic by trade so count myself pretty decent on the tools, but at the moment it's aerial 1 me 0 and I'm not happy

Hold the base tight and pull hard towards the back of the car. The way the aerial is pointing . Be brave and pull hard !!! It will just pull off, it feels like ur stripping the thread but its only the anti thrift bit. Did mine ok and I'm crap at mods lol. Hope this helps...

does anyone know can you get an adapter for aerial?
i have a new stubby to replace the original one but the bolt is fatter than the original one.

Hello everybody. I'm new here and seeking help to remove the old antenna of a Leon Cupra 2.0T
I've read through the advices of seniors above. Here a few actual photos of the antenna during process.
I've loosened the antenna to the point where it spins freely, pushed it downwards (pointing to the tail end), and yanked at it.
After several attempts the antenna still refuses to budge even to the point where the plastic body stretched itself and cracks appeared.
Do I need to apply some lubricant i.e. WD-40? Any thoughts, please?
