Hello,
My Leon Cupra was involved in an accident last week whereby a van dropped a great hunk of metal right infront of me and i drove over it, couldn't have avoided it. Anyway, i have just been informed that the gearbox/sump and part of engine and suspension have been damaged and will cost the insurance people £4000 to put right.
They have just rang me and said it will be written off
!. I am really not happy with that as i love my LC. But with it being a 52 reg i can see why they came to that decision.
Question is, in the next few days they will ring me and let me know how much they are going to pay out. I'm hoping for a fair figure to be able to buy another one. So, i don't want to be ripped off by them, so how much should i be asking them to pay out for it bearing in mind it's nearly 7 years old / and more to the point how much do you think they'll try to tell me it's worth !! ?
It's a 52 (2002) plate, Leon Cupra 180VT, 83,000 miles, FSH.
Best Regards,
Andrew
