Oh and any UK Stockist of Porta Cable ( there are a few in the UK ) could get you a 240v version of that sander.

Icecavern said:There used to be a 240v version of the orbital sander/polisher, didn't know they'd discontinued it. I know a sprayer that uses a matika but he told me that any RO sander will do the job as long as you can get the polisher pads or attachments to fit it.
Heating the paint will happen if you hold the PC one in the same place too long just like any other make. You just need variable speed, which even the cheapest RO should have.
I'm not disputing the Porta cable is good, because all Porta Cable products last forever, if I was using it every day I would buy a Porta Cable without a doubt, but for someone who might use it twice a year it's possibly a bit overkill IMO.
