How to remove Fog grills?!?!?!?

Someone must know by now - I've been trying to find out for ages!
Even the 'mastertech' at the stealer does'nt know!

I have a nice pair of ultra-white bulbs to go in to match the xenons and LED side and DRL's as soon as I find out.

Out of intrest wot bulbs have u ordered/got for the fogs?

If the weathers good at the weekend il have a poke around, i had a quick look a few weeks ago and to me it looked like best way is to take off the belly pan and up from that way. Maybe not but worth a look

The grills are really tough to remove.

Ive not done an FR as yet, only a regular Ibiza Sport. Some of them have a small phillips screw in a corner so look out for that. The trim has to be removed coming forward as the back outside edge slots backwards into the bumper. You need some plastic trim removing tools. I found a wide flat one best and pop the inside edge nearest the centre grill and pop it out then tug the whole thing forward.

Just taken a few pics for you lot, its just an Ibiza Sport but the same should apply.

The start...

Take your trim tool (wide one works best) and wedge it inbetween the bumper and the grill

What you need to do is pop the securing tags out (you can see location in latter pics) all the way around.

Now pull the trim out to here

and then pull forward

thus..

To remove the fog light itself, no screws, it just rotates, from here...

to here..

then pop out

To refit reverse the above, little bit of silicon lube may help on the tage to pop it back in. Hope this helps.

BTW can u just use a flat head screw driver with a abit of cloth round it to wedge in it?

Problem with using a screwdriver is you need to get in quite deep to release the tags and the round shaft of the driver with deform the bumper. Get yourself a set of them trim tools, get them off ebay real cheap and they will do you well.

Slight off topic here but last night i had a fight with a pheasant at about 50mph.... I won but it left its mark on the front of my car. The honeycomb grill under the numberplate has a few cracks in it, its not to bad and u cant really notice it but it the fact that i no its there that will bug me

So.... does anyone no if that grill is a seperate part i.e. can u just order that bit like the grill with the badge on or is it part of the whole front bumper?
