The pins are mixed up like pin 1+2 are airbag pin 7 is horn signal and so on...

Would it be possible to just buy another clockspring? or can you point me to the right airbag part number?
You've got correct clock spring, but your airbag loom is not compatible with MQB/MQBEvo platform. AFAIK there is no separate part number for airbag loom so I see three options:
- you will look for airbag loom by searching "leon kl airbag loom" or "formentor airbag loom" and hopefully find one
- you will modify airbag loom that you've got, but it will require rewiring almost every cable
- you will order whole new airbag with correct airbag loom

Correct airbag number starts with:
- 5FA880201 - that's your best choice, well tested by community, but loom might need rewiring if airbag is from VZ5 trim (e.g. 5FA880201AR)
- 5FF880201 - refreshed version of previous number, same story about VZ5 trim
- 6F0880201 - Ibiza/Arona airbag, there are few numbers that will fit, don't know why they have separate part number

Okay thank you for your effort and Information. Just to be sure will this Airbag fit Plug and Play?

I was not able to get 5FF airbag to be 100% sure, but judging by photos wiring seems to be the same as in 5FA airbag for standard steering wheel (without start/stop engine and Cupra buttons). Short answer - it should by plug and play.

I personally just rewired everything in two retrofit situations. I bought the airbag very cheaply for that purpose.

so i got back here bc i can't seem to find a good tutorial on how to update and w firmware i need for my part ! first of all i used odis (not enginers) and i can't see the update or flash option, so i've done some more look up and some say my climate unit can't be updated, a least not without enginers odis ! but i am woried sick of messing smt up ! so again if someone have a link to some steps or have the patience to help me (first mod ever sorry if it seem obvious for the lots of you, i really tried to do it by myself) , it would be awsome !!! thx to all for helping me on this journey ! i have to give up this mod if it's not possible !

You will Need ODIS-E for flashing and Flash files. You can get Everything from other sites, if you Need Installation Assistants I can help you.

PLEASE BE AWARE OF SCN Rules

Recently I've retrofitted heated steering wheel in Leon MK3 Xcellence from 2019. It was surprise to me that despite having monochromatic screen in instrument cluster it had info about activating and deactivating heated steering wheel. My Leon from 2017 does not have that info so I've started digging through autoscan of cars that I did this retrofit to determine what parts have to be replaced in order to have it.

Here is a table. I've lost autoscan of 5th car but I've added details that I am 100% sure.
No.Production yearGatewayBCM (SW)Instrument ClusterHave info
1late 20173Q0907530G5Q0937084CQ5F0920750E (multicolor, petrol)❌ no
2early 20183Q0907530L5Q0937084CQ5F0920751E (multicolor, diesel)❌ no
3early/mid 20183Q0907530L5Q0937084CQ5F0920790 (VC)❌ no
4mid 20193Q0907530AA5Q0937084DD5F0920740F (monochromatic, petrol)✅ yes
52020??5F0920790A (VC)✅ yes

Here are my conclusions:
- it looks that Gateway does not matter that much, as 2nd and 3rd Leon have the same Gateway version
- it looks that BCM also does not matter as 1st, 2nd and 3rd Leon have the same version

Replacing BCM and Gateway would be pretty expensive and also worthless as it looks like version of modules in my car should be sufficient. I've checked ETKA and my instrument cluster 5F0920750E was installed until 30.07.2018. After that it was replaced by newer revision 5F0920750F. Same story with VC - 5F0920790 until 30.07.2018, then 5F0920790A. Date of introduction of those clusters and heating info pretty lines up if you ask me. Instrument cluster is not that deep under dash and is pretty cheap to buy (lets forget for now about cost of attaching it to car) so I've decided to give it a shot.

In the process of attaching "foreign" cluster in my car I've "nuked" long coding and calibration of Brake module (03). Coding was restored from backup and it was great opportunity to finally use ODIS for calibration - thanks @cairus for your help!

Other than that I can say that replacing instrument cluster is the only thing that need to be done in my car. Now I am increasing mileage "on bench" so it will match my car and it is ready do be installed! :D

P.S. Newer version of instrument cluster also adjusts color of borders to the selected color of ambient lights. Currently in my car they are always yellow on assistants screen compared to the blue one on photos.
