Panel replacement air filter

hi all, im new to this site and im looking to buy an induction kit or some other form of filter upgrade.
Is it possible to get an induction cone for an ibiza 1.2 12v?
I think (not sure) that the filter is inside the engine cover?

Thanks in advance,

Dion!
hey there Im new to this site as well I also have the same engine as you Im not 100% sure if you can but an induction cone for our model as it says on the K&N website its only available for the 6v not the 12v but yet they are for sale on ebay but I would'nt trust those sellers to hang my coat up. All I can tell you is that you can buy a K&N replacement panel air filter. And yes you are correct that is the air filter under the engine cover at the rear. I went to change it the other day when I serviced the car but I was given the wrong air filter from the motor factors.

Personally I choose the panel filter (K&N 33-2850) for mine, straight replacement for the paper filter.

scott does that filter sit directly on the butterfly valve? or whatever the correct name for that valve is. and do you find if it makes a difference

From Scott's car, have to remove the standard airbox... Since been removed and replaced with the standard airbox again I believe.

Is the K&N panel replacement filter classed as an engine mod?

anything which is done to the car (anything) that didnt come with it from the manufacturers standard spec is classed as a modification, even something as small as changing a gear knob or painting a fan surround (all modifications) but small things wont need to be declared because lists would be never ending

Hi,

I am new to this site but used to read up alot about seat stuff on here, i have a Seat Ibiza Sx 1.2 12V and it has taken me ages to find a induction kit for it, after having to return 2 orders from people who advertised it incorrectly and gave me wrong advise, i almost gave up. Instead i emailed K and N's research team directly, i asked them if they had a product that will fit and they confirmed that product number 57-0530 (meant for 6v) will definately fit (asked 3 times just to be sure) i havent ordered one yet so can't speak from experience however i will be ordering one in the new year, any probs look on k and n website and you can email someone aswell as fine who can fit/deliver the product in your area.

Hope this helps

You dont need to bother with a k'n'n one. will make no difference to a 1.2 12v. I got the hellfrauds universal one fitted on mine for £29.99.
No point splashing out on a k&n when you only have a 1.2 and a filter is plainly for noise.

(I have a 1.2 12v sx btw)
