lol - had a ciggie break at every opportunity and didnt have the right size bit to drill the back of the plastic cover - so had to find a work around -
indeed passender side is abit of a tit - luckly my friend has smaller hands!

i used a drill bit 2mm smaller than the one stated, filed a little lug out of one side, then slid the rubber grommet in, was a bit harder but it means there is very little movement in the gromet / wires.
TBH i think the hardest part of the install was where to local the ballasts !!.
i located on on top of the battery, and the other just to the left of the bonnet catch, under the lip
mine are both above the head lights but under the metal frak - visable but couldnt be asked to put them somewhere discreet -

Silly question, but i ordered a set of hid for friends bwm - size was H4 but they sent H7 - anyone know if the H7 will still fit?

lol - ive emailed the company but thought it might be a case of they sent the H7 instead as an alternative type thing

Ive got 6000k HIDs, Whatever you do follow below if you do it the other way without removing anything which will taker longer im sure youll lose alot of flesh 
easier and time saving doing it this way.
This is how i fitted mine...
1. Removed the front bumper
2. Removed the headlights (removing all cables)
3. Dried out the light clusters with a hair dryer because there was moist in them.
3. Removed the old bulb and fitted the HID one.
4. Cut a whole in each headlight rear plate to allow the cables to be fitted to the new HID bulb. (kit comes with a rubber washer and bung)
5. Screwed the Ballasts down on a plate where the headlights rested on the driver side, The passenger side i bolted it onto the wing by the side of the battery.
6. Tested them - worked!
7. Connected the HID cables to the ballast, and connected to the normal plugs.
8. Re-Fitted the headlight clusters.
9. Re-fitted the bumper
10. Levelled them
Plus now i dont get any condensation which was my main issue with the clusters
All this took about an hour because I had to keep going online for support.
In all fairness it will take no longer than 45 minutes.
If you want me to go in depth more give me a PM and il write a guide.

it was overseas - so not sure what to do with regards to returning them and who the supplier pays for the return and considering it took 10 days to get here, going to take just as long to send back - then another 10 days for the correct one -
all a big hasstle!
true! I forget all the cheap HIDs get imported.

a few of my friends what HID after i showed them the difference so can always send it there way aswell -
but my mate who the HID were for - was getting abit anxious and after 10days of waiting, going to have to tell him they sent the wrong ones!! lol -

Ok, I think i'm going to tag onto the end of this thread rather than start a new one.
Anyone know where i can get 6000K H1 full beam and w5w (501) sidelight bulbs from?
I've got 6000K HIDs on the way and just want the remaining bulbs to match the colour of my kit, i can only seem to find 3300K and 4000K.
Anyone know any different?

Not sure about the main beam but any of the LED sidesights marked up as white will be a very close match to the HID blue. No matter which K rating you have they'll look good.
i ordered my set off ebay 6000k and they were only £44.67 delivered i ordered them on the friday and got them by wednesday the following week, the kit is great quality and they work very well and look awsome, the difference in the light is unbelivable well worth it.
i payed £45 for mine as well , i bought 7 sets of the bloke so far , i put a set of my car everytime i get one , they are great , never had a problem with them ,
