will i need to take the engine out to change the sump, someone is saying i probably need to ???

no you dont, just unbolt it. you just need a long 5 or 6mm ball end allen key to get to the sump bolts that are located in the gearbox bell-housing side. (quoted from my friend who is a mechanic)

also the exhaust needs to be removed (from memory)

nah you don't need to remove the exhaust just the oil return pipe as i have jut done this to replace my oil strainer

but don't you have to make sure the sump goes back on 100% square due to it using sealant and not a gasket? The exhaust must get in the way?

no exhaust didnt get in the way, v straight forward to do actually just 20 bolts and oil return

No problems sealing it up etc? Good to know that the exhaust doesn't need to be removed.
