Dont think its just the Fr my 07 cupra crunches in 2nd gear alot, whenever i take it over 4000rpm in 1st then change th 2nd gear CRUNCH! Down change to 2nd from 3rd or 4th CRUNCH!

Sorry to re-hash an old thread, but which gearbox oil did they use instead?

Old skool lol mine 5 years later does occasionally crunch in second I thought it my or sloppy gear change Tbh. Never had a recall letter but if it is not safety related they won't have to go via vosa so probably won't make contact.

Sorry to re-hash an old thread, but which gearbox oil did they use instead?

Had mine changed at Awesome last year, not sure on oil but Opie Oils should be able to tell you what is best if you're doing it yourself. It has improved my shifting, much smoother.
