right another update.

As said when driving to work and then back yesturday afternoon, the car would still judder slightly in 3rd, 4th and 5th.

However i then went to the driving range and on the way there and back there was absolutely no juddering. however when you put your foot down there would b a small blip of power in each gear.

So a friend of mine who is a mechanic came over with his diagnostic tool, plugged it in to clear my engine fault light and it picked up the misfire in cylinder 3 (this was from before i replaced the ignition coils)

So we cleared the fault then i took him out for a quick drive to show him the blips i was having. However they had completely gone, did a couple of test runs and nothing.

However this morning on the way to work the juddering was back. the engine fault light starts to flash when the juddering occurs but when it stops the light disappears. i can try the diagnostic tool again but any help from here would be most appreciated.

cheers and apologies for the essay! :banned:

well ill add that on my list of things to check.

so far ive got:

1. split hoses
2. MAF (gonna give it a clean)
3. ignition coil wiring

unfortunately at my friends work they have sent there full diagnostic machine off for an upgrade so we cant stick it on that until its back :(

on a funnier note, went to that local VW dealer yesturday. walked in and said do you run Vag-com here......

the guy looked at me and went, Vag-Com? is that for searching stores or something
