I'm certain i've seen those engine mounts before....good job mate
Thanks Mo - Yes I am sure you are familiar with the car those mounts came off from what I have heard
Cheers mate - never thought about it but it does sort of look like primer! The colour is a bit darker in real life than the photos. It is RAL 7024 - Graphite Grey. I think the strut brace and wheels have been done in Gunmetal Grey and look great- will post some pics up tomorrow.
The Godspeed brakes are good - no complaints at all. Only thing i would say is i found the black coating on the discs comes off alsmost straight away and looks a bit messy. But you can repaint them easily - need to get round do doing it myself.
Glad you found the FMIC posts useful - must say I have noticed a lot of people using my patented funny shaped brackets for mounting the top of the cooler to the slam panel

Not had much driving recently (car is off the road while I have been fixing oil leak and sorting other bits out) so can't give much feedback on these parts yet.
Hoping to get the car ready for the road soon. Well I have to now as I booked the car in for a week of custom mapping at R Tech
Booked for 5th November - can't wait

Bushes were easy to fit - destroy your old ones with a screwdriver knife and clip the new ones in
Can't wait for the map. Never heard anything bad about R Tech so can't wait to gt it done!
Not sure about the extras - launch control is the most tempting one

Update time.
Took a few more days off work last week to get the car ready for its trip to Hinckley to meet the R Tech lads.
Needed to finish off the WMI and fuel pump install, as well as putting in all the interior that had gone missing...
Over the past 2 years I had removed a piece of trim every so often for various reasons, before last week my car had no trim or carpet in the boot, no gearnob gaitor and all lower A,B and C panels were off.
Anyway, no pics of all this - as too busy actually working to take snaps.
Got the alignment done on Saturday morning and then headed off to R Tech
Had a good chat with Niki, he talked me through the mapping process, was very impressed at their approach.
Before they do any mapping they do a check of the complete set up to make sure its all good - no boost leaks etc
He commented on how good everything looked in the bay, and that he was looking forward to mapping my car - which made me feel quite
Sadly it didn't last too long today. Got a call from Ben this afternoon telling me that as soon as the car went up on the dyno one of the jubilee clips for the oil cooler failed and the hose popped off and caused a mess in the engine bay and dyno
The clip was overtightened (by me)
I used the clips provided in the oil cooler kit that came off eBay (Matt Lewis Racing) and I thought it was up to the job - obviously not.
Tried to call later to see how they had got on but called to late and they had finished for the day.
I decided to skip the gym and head home to log onto Facebook and see if there were any updates (Niki normally uploads pics every so often and said he would do so for my car).
Logged on and saw this:
Oil covered bay - bad!!

340bhp without WMI!!
Suddenly my mood has improved somewhat
He is hoping for another 7-8bhp and EGT's below 900deg with the WMI - if I get close or achieve 350bhp I think I will explode

Think the large port head combined with the SEM and big FMIC piping may have made the difference..Yes I am convinced Mo
Not much to report today, Niki has been doing some logging etc.
Had a problem with the WMI - turns out it was contaminated
Borrowed it of my brother (didn't have time to source my own) who swore it was fine. To quote Niki on facebook:
So after coating his dyno with oil on the 1st day, I nearly blinded him on the 2nd

Along with some Polo strut tops, new bearings etc. The compbrake solid mounts which came with my 2nd hand V3's squeaked constantly and drove me mad so they had to go!
