ha, I might just replace the gear knob without connecting it up, as just after 4 weeks the top of stick with ratios on fell of in my hand.
What sort of light up one is it? As in is it a subtle red ring that would match your interior, or is it a chavy blue neon flashy thing.... that I have never owned or fitted to my old chavy Saxo....

If it was a SEAT 'S' within a silver ring, which glowed red, ie nice and subtle, that'd be nice I think. However if it was a flashy, light chasing tacky gear knob.....then no. lol

No its the subtle red one with just the gear ratios that light up red. To match interior me thinks..
See IMO (without seeing it I must add) is that it would look quite nice... you got a pic of it... I knwo its not connected but...

OK so my problem now is how to connect it up, ...It's all new to me advert says connect to cig lighter and comes on when lights are switched on.( also read something about connecting to light switch multipoint)
iv'e had a look under gear stick and there is room to thread it through. but thread it to wear i dont have a clue.
But as i said the one i have is shabby too, with gear ratio top part in my glove box..

It could be hooked up the the dash lights, so when you put on your lights it comes on.....

Is that easy to do?? is it just a case of taking out light switch connecting up and hiding the wire behind dash....
on the right hand side of the dash where you turn your lights on, take out the dimmer switch and wire it up to that, their will be 2 wires you need, doing this will allow your gearknob to work with the dimmer
not too sure how you would get the wires their though out of sight

You should be able to run the wires through the centre console, under the gear gater etc to the dash.....
