When I bought mine, it came with a BMC CDA already in there, after reading a load of threads, maybe its time to give an open cone a go... are these filters the type that require cleaning manually, or just another part when it looking a bit manky? Btw, why are the BMCs so bad - just wondering why its restrictive - theres probably a good technical reason

im not 100% sure but it might be down to the fact that air can only be sucked in from one end. with a cone the air can be sucked in from everywhere.

I had a bmc they look great but are really restrictive , now I have a hks mushroom with 3 inch cold air feed and love it so much more free flowing

Can you reverse the standard bosch DV and how much will this damage it? Or does it not damage the DV at all?

No you can't only the 007p not the split r either it's a chirp like a bird really quiet that's why I opted for the split r

So from what i understand you can only do it to the Forge 007p DV, but you opted for the Split R one? Or can you do it to both? Or just the Split R one?

Sorry to make it more clear you can only reverse the 007 not the Bosch plastic one that should be thrown in the bin lol the split r can only run one way and I prefer the sound with it blanked off Hence why i have one

i turned it the other way around and man what a different sound

more like a blow off valve, but i dont know if i let it stay this way...

the sound is little to long instead of a quick burst, and i maybe did not closed the clamp enough cuz when full throttle in 2 3 4 it blew off....

tightend it some more now

would reverse be with the top of the 007p (with the Forge lettering) facing the passenger wing rather than pointing up at the underside of the bonnet?

reverse is when the small vacuum nipple points to the side

when it is on top then it is the normal way.
