Dag Nam it. I am loving the S3 seats. Would love a set just cant justify the money. Look foward to seeing yours in when fitted Fes.

I will take some pictures of what i had to replace / fiddle with to get them in although i am hoping for a nice easy swap. Only thing to watch out for is airbag connectors - Leons are 3 pin and golf / audi are 4 pin although still only using 3 wires :)

i would love to have a set of leathers in mine but i dont have electric seats so imagine it would be a nightmare to wire a set of leathers in??

You mean just run a seperate live and earth from each seat? Nice and easy i guess. Run them to the fuse box?

I'll have pics on friday - but i'd wire an inline fuse to each seat live and a seperate earth for each seat - it may even be that one of the wires is a switched live and one is permanent for seat memory - will find out once i see the wiring diagrams from the S3 on friday :)

Yep, you have a up and down, back rest back and forward and a lumber suport in and out, and as you said just a live and neg wire to plug in , i allready had this as i had the LC electric leather, but seats are miles better, just got to sort the heated bit out but the switches are £35 each i have the wiring loom so thats not an issue just got to get round to spending £70 odd on switches which is proving a bit hard.
I have a set of plugs if you need them. :D

Thankfully i have the plugs from the Audi and a short section of loom so the wiring should be e asy enough, my amp power cable runs down the central transmission tunnel so there's a good power source there :)

Do yours work with ignition off or only when the car is started?

Back to the original post I would say the LCR seats are a very worthy upgrade. I changed mine from the original grey cloth to full leather and now to the LCR Recaro.

I am loving them so yes buy them :D

Also VERY easy to swap over :)

i just got in from work and went onto ebay but the man has removed the seats from auction!!:cartman:

but there is a set of seats out of an S3 but they are half blue alcantara and half black leather, not too sure if these would suit my silver leon lol, they do look comfortable though!

Should fit ... but alcantara can be a pig to keep from marking - however they ARE nice seats! How long has the auction left to run?

24 hours, i just emailed him he wants around £450 for front & rear seats

Nice one cheers Phil - out of interest, they look a tight fit is that right? And also did you have to find bolts to hold the front brackets as opposed to the nuts that held the original seats in place?

No no tighter than the original leather although the bolsters are bigger, i used the same fixings that held the old seats in place, if i remember all the fixings are bolts, was a while ago and i am getting old
