Intermittent problem with starting. P0322

Hi all,

My Leon 1.8 Mk1 has recently developed an intermittent fault whereby its starts absolutely fine when cold but if I were to go on a short journey, then switch the engine off and come back a few minutes later the engine won't start. The starter motor is fine, fuel pump all ok. If I leave it for an hour or so and go back it will start.

Recorded a code P0322 last time it had the issue.

Crank shaft sensor issue?

Would welcome your views. If the crank shaft sensor is it easy to locate and change?

I would say you need a new good quality crank sensor

Mine did exactly the same and it was the crankshaft sensor.

Had this on an old van, crankshaft sensor.

starts no bother when cold but will not start when warm
