Hello,

I saw an interface which can connect Seat/WV/AUDI with latest iPhone and iPod and charge it! The product name is GROM-I2-VAG.

More info here:
gromaudio dot com

I need some advices, is this a good choice? Anyone got one with Leon FR 2007?

Thanks

to be honest i dont know if this is the best choice... i know however of another company called "connects2". i believe they are the ones who supply the stock ipod connections and bluetooth systems for all the VW group vehicles..

check it out

connects 2 dot com

hope it comes in handy ;)

Hello thanks for replay.

I got a connect2 in my old Leon mk1. And sure it works pretty good.
But the problem is that AFIK connect2 does not charge new devices like iPhone 3G(s) and iPod Touch because they charge using usb 5v instead of firewire 9v.

I sent an email to them:

********** Question **********

I have a Seat Leon FR 2007, will buy an iPhone 3Gs soon.
Will it work with GROM-I2-VAG?

If yes, whats the best option for my case: trunk cables or back
connection?

Hello,

We support 98-09 Seat cars with factory-installed car stereo (see "Seat"
section at hxxp://xxx.gromaudio.com/grom_application_guide.pdf).

GROM-I2-VAG adapter
(hxxp://xxx.gromaudio.com/store/ipod_adapters/grom-i2-vag.html) is compatible with 07 Seat Leon and iPhone 3GS.

Unfortunately, we do not have trunk cable for this car, so you should select back connection.

Regards

So I will buy this one.

Hello all,

Just acquire the GROM-I2-VAG interface, but I'm unhappy with it!
Unless they got a solution, I really don't recommend it.

The Back/Forward functions do not work at all, need turn off and on the stereo to listen to music after receiving a call, etc.

I have a Connect2 in the garage, from my old Leon Mk1, I will search for a cable converter to fix the charging issues and maybe it will work.

My 2 cents.
