Is it coil pack

I have leon 1.8t 2001 I had this problem happen twice, runs ok but when I give it a good blast starts to idle up & down and runs like a dog + back fires, but thing is it went away once and has now come back, turn it off and back on makes noise and runs like crap.

I'm thinking coil or maf any help please

No mods

No mods except for forge DV diverter 2001 1.8T 20v cupra.

id say coil then mate ,i had 2 go bout month ago!
40 quid plus vat for the 2!
