what mileage have you got on the car?
i've got a full set of mk2 gti shocks and springs sat in my garage you can have for a 12pack of stella

standard shockers on a 1.4 are just that.. SHOCKERS.... sit way too high.. i know.. my bugger does.. need to get mine slammed down too..

done 70k as well, i have had it since 57k but i doubt they have ever been replaced

driving home today in the wind the car does not feel safe tbh, gusts seem to catch the body more than it should

Get some FK suspension on it.. Dit it on my 1.4 and it looked and handled great.

mines used to sit bl00dy high too until i also got some FK coilovers
sits so much nicer now, only reason i'd have standard suspension on would be to sell up, such an improvement !

people have said for the price they are good and not too expensive

I only paid hundred for my tints, its going in the to do list though, would love a better ride, i live in roudbout city so would be good
