You could always do over a bank if the piggy bank's running a little dry

Also, thank you for the part numbers Irfan. I've give in and ordered the spoiler and side skirts. Dam dealer wouldn't discount tho. Never mind.

Just a case of waiting for the black beast to touch down at the local steeler... It's worse than waiting for Xmas!

Just ordered my FR Tdi in Candy White this morning - should be here for Xmas so wifie should be happy! The candy Cupra looks great but was considering adding the twin exhaust and rear bumper from the BTCC kit without the skirts, rear spoiler or front bumper. Would this look crappy on it's own?

Congrats on the new car order! I am not a fan of the BTCC/Aero bumpers, think that the back bumper on its own would look odd to be honest.

If you go for the BTCC back bumper you would need to be careful if you want to re-sell as the BTCC kit is a take it or leave it thing.

Quite a few people on here aren't over keen on it, I'd be worried that you might have trouble selling it on again without taking a massive hit.

Was it one that was already built then?

My dealer 'found' a Candy FR with 18's and a winter pack but the dealer has already got a buyer. 10 mins later they has an identical car but no winter pack so I reached for my wallet... Point taken re. the back bumper - wasn't sure so thought I'd ask the experts! May go for the rear spoiler and skirts instead.

Wahoooooo - Got a call from the steeler. Car is confirmed for delivery 19th December, but they wont have the spoiler or skirts painted by then.

The agreed collection date is going to be the 2nd January 2008 instead. Awwww, waiting is sooo painfull....

Sorry to jump on your thread, but. Do you think the skirts and spoiler will fit on the altea. Its the skirts Im most interested in as the ones for the altea dont look all that good. They are basically a different shell bolted on the same car.

And is the new cupra grill gloss or matt black?

Been quoted nearly 700 notes by my stealer for skirts and spoiler fitting - this reasonable as it seems high to me???

That makes painting and fitting about £400 which is about what it will cost from any main stealer. Of course you could see if any of the lads who work there could do it as a homer. Same paint, facility and way of fixing it, and done by the same person as your £400 option ;)

But without warranty, an oven finish (so more dirt in the job, and moisure in the airline), and probably the cheapest paint available.

Can you tell Ive done the odd homer?

If it is done in the same place as the £400 job it is gonna be the same paint, oven etc etc. I would not be too concerned about warranty on a piece of plastic to be honest :)

To be honest, the side skirts alone are just the job. I like the Front bumper, but I hate the back. Especially the exhausts. I guess I just don't really want my car to look like I've modified the hell out of it, but instead just look nice, but be powerful. 'Cause there's so many people who under-estimate the Leon's power on the road, then the moment you put your foot down and they're in the background, it's just amazing, lol.
