Haha it's an easier car to keep looking clean, but black has more impact. Just you can't drive it once it's clean lol.

Was only getting another LCR if a platinum one came up wasn't interested in another black one, poss red though, had good ideas for one but meh.

How bad is the wheel ? might be worth chucking it in the boot and getting the spare done the same color then at least they'll all be the same color.

Its mainly scratches and a few big chips. Hoping its just a quick refurb (pop the tyre off and paint the front of the wheel. I'll speak to them and see what say, that's good idea though.

Makes me miss my black LCR seeing this but I know how hard they are to keep clean, and mine was a daily driver Black still looks the daddy when comparing 'just cleaned' LCR's imo.

Ahhhh, do miss my old one sometimes. Good work though mate, shame about the wheel, get it sorted ASAP, and don't do it again Lol.

I miss my old plat' LCR as it was so much easier to make it look good. Black just shows all the imperfections, and my paint is far from perfect.

And thanks for the tip about not doing it again What would i do without ya

Forgot to mention T0m, i've scrapped the black caliper idea. Took it back and swapped it for some smooth red lol. I was going to do it today but ran out of time.

Yeah after painting the wheels it looked so much better with red calipers. Yes mate I'll be up for players.

UPDATE:

Spoke to wheelwerx's about my damaged wheel and they said it would need a full refurb.

So following DK's advice (Cheers DK ) i decided to get the spare wheel painted and have the tyre's changed over when i collect the wheel. At least my spare wheel will be the same colour now, even if it is damaged.

I dropped the spare wheel off on my lunch break, i will be collecting it on wednesday after work.

Got way too many idea's of things to do to the car, so many awesome LCR's to get ideas from.

So with my new found enthusiasm next month the following will be done:

- Full wheel refurb - Silver (same as OEM BMW)
- Oil service and brake fluid change at AmD
- Front and rear brakes refurb - something different (not red) so watch this space
- Front and rear spacers (10/15 front and rear)

Will probably tweak the height of the car once the spacers are on to get the stance spot on.

Feel like i've found the love for my car again.

Lovely car by the way. Just wanted to ask whether you had any idea what colour to do your calipers. I have the same colour LCR but couldnt decide, would rather something different to standard Red. Blue for example, but worried it will look naff with no other blue on the car.

Like to see what colour you go with.

Im doing the cheap way and having mine painted, seriously hope they dont look bad.

Think thats for the best, had my wheels acid dipped/refurbed BMW silver, not too bling but still shiny, looks nicer than standard wheel colour IMO.

UPDATE:

Last night after finishing work the window regulator on the front passenger door failed. The window completely disappeared into the door. Couldnt get it up manually, time was limited as the OH had to work and i had to look after the little one. I ended up having to leave it over night with the window down in the underground car park, it was tucked up in the corner of the car park so it hide its lack of window glass well. Thankfully it was still there this morning.

So first thing this morning i dropped by a local garage on the way to work to see if they could fit me in, thankfully they could. I could do it my self, but firstly i cant be bothered and secondly i don't have spare time in the evening as im baby sitting.

The money i paying to have my window fixed would have paid for a full set of spacers, oh well. Maybe next month.

On a more positive note my car hasn't used a drop of oil since replacing the old semi with fully synthetic oil.

Well today i got an early morning drive in, the car has been clean, inside and out, I fixed the annoying squeak from the top mount... and my exhaust was popping today for the first time, scared the hell out of the first time it happened lol must be the heat.

All ready for AmD tomorrow. Happy days
