I am well past Mad with this crap design of jack covers :censored:
I'm not sure if it because they have been taken off several time but now im finding it a right Nightmare to put them back on! once i have taken them off after jacking up the car. [:@]

Is there some sort of knack way of clipping the covers back onto the side shirts of the body kit because they no longer want to stay on.

Its almost like every time i take it off the harder it is to put back on again.

Have any one thought of a mod to make them stay. [B)]

Cheers :)

most people cant get them back on as they put the outside clip in place then push the covers upward to try and clip it in. This just pushes the skirt up against the underside of the car and there is no way its going to clip in.

Try attaching the outside of the cover first, then get your fingers between the inside edge of the skirt and the underide of the car. with the cover in the palm of the same hand clip it in place by squeezing the cover against the skirt.

I got fed up to! In the end I used a small screw to hold the covers in place. Screwed from the underside, so its not visible at all. Keep a screwdriver in the car if I need to get em off though. LOL

i took my side skirts off in the end, 6 torx bits and they come off, 5 seconds to click the covers back in and then bash the skirts back on job done

I concur, Its a pants design..very poor. They will go back if you do what others have suggested.

it took me a while but i got the nak of it now. Insert the lip into the front, push the cover up against the body of the car now feel about for the 2 clips, using your fingers bend the cover towards yourself holding the cover in the slot at the front then push up hard and slowly push it backwards. If you cant get the hang of it il try and do a recording takes 2 minutes. failing that screw self tappers into them lol

Thanks for all the replys on this, nice to know im not the only one who has probs with it and im not that kack handed

Think i will take the side skirt off as suggested and try and get it back on as i could do with getting rid of all the mud that has built up!

Then again mite try the screw mod... sounds like a plan.

Cheers!

My wicked and highly detailed pic on how to put the covers back on flush. insert a flat head screwdriver in the gap holding at the 3 oclock position on pull it to the 9 oclock position it will click into place, Then repeat other side. Jobs a good un :)

My first attempt took me ages probably close to 20 mins and almost left me wanting to bin the car into the first ditch. Now i know how its done takes seconds lol. My 2p, flat bar bit located on the outer/visible side then smack it from beneath to locate it into the lower part/not visible. Just check you havent got the attaching cable stick inbetween the cover and skirt.
