Well I have been thinking and it's probably about time I look at a decent upgrade in the braking department for the Leon once I get it back as to expect to put close to 500 hp in a fwd car and only have performance pads is asking for trouble IMO.

I have two options new Callipers with more pistons like ksport 8pot, or the 330 discs option that B5 offers for the brembo on lcr's I am leaning towards the B5 option as I'm not sure that a full break change would give me that much more stopping power over 330 discs and a set of DS2500 with decent brake fluid.

The 330 option isn't cheap in my eyes for a set of discs and pads (works out about 600iirc) BUT its cheaper than changing callipers and is cheaper than not being able to stop the car and having to repair any damage in a worst case scenario?

Afaik bill uses this setup on his race car so is subject to some extreme torture so hopefully it will perform well on my Leon as well.

Would calipers from an Audi RS4 fit or get sum Porsche calipers sure you could get them for around 600? Your cars gonna be mental with 500bhp good work

I was thinking the other day I wonder what brakes you had!!!

Defo gotta be uprating them for this car.... :)

I've had Bill's 2 piece setup for years now and find unless the road is dry you cant really maximise their power only on a smooth track.
I think with an upgraded rear setup it would balance it out a bit more and make use of all the power available

Had a chat with Bill earlier today about the 330 setup. Decided to see how the grooved discs and DS2500's get on until they are worn out and then replace the lot. Seems a bit of waste to replace discs / pads that haven't been on the car for that long..

Hopefully see some photo's of how the car is getting on @ Bills later today :D :D :D

Managed to get myself a RS4 MAF housing sorted today, thanks to Doug @ MRC for this.

My intake pipe can not start to be fabbed up. I think that is the last part that i've got to buy, looking forward to the pics from Bill :D

We need to see numbers, pictures, videos and most important massive grins to make this complete!!

Hope it all goes well, not long now dude

Well the downpipe has been fabricated and mocked up, i'm not really sure about the rest bill has got a load of photo's just waiting for him to stick them up. Only 2 weeks or so before I go and collect it so should start seeing some updates on here shortly :)

dude.
I am beyond busy........... so you will have to bare with me re updates on progress.

as and when I get the time I will try and post something up.
staff shortage and excess work is piling up.......

Nice job, I have nearly the same pieces as you, just that it's in a different car :)
