Well car is loaded up, went to fill it up with vpower (the good stuff).... £77 later it's full. Should be enough juice for tomorrow. Took it for a blast earlier... Scares the bejesus out of me every time how quick it is!!

Looking forward to tomorrow. Not looking forward to the train home! Boo

Just think of the train journey next weekend. Have a safe and enjoyable drive tomorrow. I can't begin to imagine how quick this must be. Epic build. Hopefully you'll be sticking with the car for a while yet so that you can enjoy it :)

Dropped the car of at Badger5, @ the station waiting for my 4 hour train home! BOOO!!

Looking forward to the map tweaks tho, went out in sambryants car, all the software tweaks are so cool! NLS is probs my fav, need to get my gear linkage realigned before doing too much of that I think tho.

Anyway, looking forward to collecting it next week.

hi james, was great to meet you today, thanks for the alloys :)
your car is awesome, in fact best described as a animal. gear based mapping will turn your car into something very special.
as you could tell from mine, even at 300bhp in first traction is not a big issue for me and thats without lsd.
it was a shame the traffic was to bad to get into 4th were my full power starts.
nls is king, no other word for it :)

you will love your car sooooo much more when you pick it up. was a real treat for me to take a ride in your car today.

Pads

Decided after driving my car up on saturday that the EBC Yellowstuff that are in the calipers ATM are absoloute POO!!! :censored: They squeek on slow town driving and don't inspire much confidence until you really lean on them! Basically the DS2500 have much better cold working temps, but the yellowstuff work better at higher temps.

Going to be looking into upgrading to a better offering from Ferrodo I think, quite liked the DS2500's I had in my brembo's before switching over, other option is the DS3000's which are technically a 'race' pad but samb uses them in his and said they are fine... Savage brake dust on the other hand tho.

Will be making some enquiries into pricing shortly...

EBC pads are rubbish, stick with Ferodo.

My DS2500's were hot as anything around Brands last year and it was the hottest day of the year too, came in the pits and they were smoking a little, lol.

Didn't fade though and I have them with EBC turbo grooved ultimax discs and Motul RBF660 fluid which works really well at high temps.

Yer the ferrodo are decent pads, i've got 356mm 2 piece discs on mine which *should* take some punnishment coupled with Super racing blue fluid.

I've got a bad feeling they are pricey for my callipers tho.

The ds3000 for the lcr brembo are £140 from bill iirc. They are fantastic pads.
The ds2500 will fall off way before the 3000s, no disrespect to tom but you will be running nearly 500bhp, you need the best pads.
The 3000s work well when cold but do squeek a little.
Also they require a epic bedding in session that will make you feel sick lol.
Once bedded in you have total peace of mind, they stop so quickly from serious speeds with no fade. I know thats what i want from a brake pad.
Down side you will need to clean you wheels often otherwise the dust becomes rock solid.

hmmm, decisions....

I like the sound of the DS3000's just don't like the sound of the savage brake dust all over my nice new wheels!

None taken Sam :)

DS2500's are good for my car but I would definitely go bigger if I had a BT setup.

I've just bought some DS2500 from Bill I didn't realise he did DS3000 that cheap!
For bedding in did you do three light slow downs to near stoping from 40/50. Let the brakes cool down then three hard slow downs from 60/70?

Looking forward to seeing the results James.

Very different on the 3000s
Need to pretty much make them catch fire. 100>5mph <100>5 and so on. Once smoking alot you need to let the pads cool without using the brakes. Best to bed in on the motorway.
The 3000s take alot more work to transfer pad material onto the disc.
