why would you want an angled one? i would have thought they would be a bit more restrictive.... i didnt get one as im getting it remapped, and it would be up near the 270bhp mark.. didnt want to be getting near the upper limits of the filter...

just get the standard one its fine mate! sounds much better, much more turbo / DV noise!

and before anyone asks, I'm not sat at home on here, im at work bored out of my mind!!

I dont want a blue filter.

I'm sure I've seen red ones in the past and surely manufacturers have sussed that people want different colours, might be worth starting off a new thread in the MK1 Leon section Mash.

I've searched high and low with no luck. They're either not red, or not big enough!
Been looking at Pipercross (black) universals aswell, think i might go with one of them.

Im currently running one of their panel filters, and had no problems with it.

Im just wanting a bit more noise! :D

Will probably order early next week.

The coloured ones are also alot smaller. :(

I'd have one of these by now if they were red!

Cant seem to find a red one thats big enough!

would have snapped it up if it was red, yeh post back people and let us know if there is a red one altough in skullminkl's post with pics his car is red with a blue filter...hmmm i guess the bonnet is shut most of the times no one aint gona really see it! i may email jetex to see if they do it in red..probably not
in the end may just go for the blue one

I'm in 2 minds what to do to be honest.
The Jetex is the one i really want, but not in bloody blue!!
I might email them aswell.

How about the Jabbasport cone, which is now red I believe(although I've not seen a picture of the new colour)? http://www.jabbasport.com/store/index.php?app=gbu0&ns=prodshow&ref=JSIKLEONCR

I'm the other way and wanted a Jabbasport cone and heatshield but they don't make the blue anymore, so bought the Jetex one. Aren't we a shallow bunch :p

But the red filter that comes with the Jabba kit is a K&N one, and i keep reading that K&N's aren't good for the MAF.

Are they really that bad for the MAF????

If they aren't then i can just order a MAHOOOSIVE K&N cone and be done with it!

I personally think they are fine as I have been running one for the last 6 months no problems, and many others have for a lot longer. I think the myth arises where people have cleaned them and used too much oil on the filter and have consequently wrecked their MAF.

Comparing the K&n and this Jetex I can't see any visible difference in construction and materials other than the colour (which is the only reason I have changed).
