after reading this thread i ordered a 07003 from bill and fitted it yesterday what a top mod this is for the money my car is a bit faster but its the sounds you get from it the air being sucked in the turbo spooling and the dv sounds like a whip everyone should have them

If anyone else is thinking of buying this cone filter contact Bill at Badger5. Rang him on Monday and although he said he had run out of stock he must had worked some magic as I just got a knock on the door with my new filter being delivered. Top class service!! Can't wait to fit it later!

also will i only need to buy the filter?

I'm away to order one of these for my polo gti, can anyone recommend a crankcase breather filter to get with it? Also, does the filter come with a jubilee clip?

What did you pay?

I know its an argument thats been going on for years and will continue for years to come but, during the summer i still think your way better with a standard airbox and jetex panel filter.

The cold air feed i dont think really blows cold air into the bay at any real rate to aid supplying enough cold air to the cone filter, In the airbox scenario it will draw cold air up the feed.

However there is an intercooler in the equation but the cooler the intake before the intercooler the better surely, but cones do sound good i just have never really seen an improvment from a cone and uprated panel filter and standard airbox.

On a hot summers day all that heat being sucked from the top portion of the engine bay!

but so is the 150 degrees+ air temperature as it passes over the compressor of the turbo, inlet temps from cold air feeds dont really hinder a turbo car in my opinion NA yes, T no, , i think its more down to the efficiency of the intercooler and post intercooled air, 10-15 degrees pre turbo isnt going to affect anything,

Just to confirm from earlier in this threat this jetex filter is the right one for a leon cupra 2002 1.8t 180?
