Key Fob (key part question)

I have just recieved a refurbished key fob and i would like to know can you take the key blade out to replace it with mine as it has a better spring mechanism on the new one? apart from that just needs reprogramming

Need to remove the badge and unscrew the tiny screw beneath it. Should split on two then.
