Ooh Alpha, if i'm available mate, and you need a hand gimme a shout, i'll be willing to lend a hand!

Thanks mate [B)] ... Still waiting to see the outcome on this 1st.

I want to do the conversion and never have to mess with it again and I am sure you'll want the same. :)

But in all honesty I am torn between either Selling my Cupra/rims/dynatwist/ko3s putting say £1.5k toward it and getting another car.

Or

Putting the K03s / Dynatwist on now and then spending £1.5k on a FMIC and DP/Exhaust and remap.

A nice Elise doing 35+mpg and 0-60 in a little over 5 seconds and handle like a kart sounds more appealing to me than a 240bhp Cupra at the moment (plus I will never get the mods money back when I sell the car).

I'm gonna keep reading this and if you (Forbez) wants a hand just drop me a PM and I'll pop down mate  ... And if I do sell my car I will still give you a hand :D

ok thanks, what about the vac pipe we spoke of ealeyer, could you use some samco vac pipe? and how do you fason it? would a ziptiye be ok or would it get to hot down there. also i see you have a forge tip, i am also going to be fitting that at the same time, i know you need to cut the end on an angle and cap off one of the holes, any other tips for fitting that?

Yea vacum pipe and zip-tye would be fine! its on the top of the engine so it doesnt get too hot anyway!

I didnt know about cutting the TIP down untill after i had fitted it!   Havent cut it yet! All i no is i found fitting a TIP that wasnt cut down was worse than fitting the turbo!!!! :wtf:

You have to extend the wire to the maf also!!

what about the other end? the end that gose to the turbo? there is 2 on the ko3 turbo and one on the ko3s, so take out the T peace and put one long pipe in going from the engine to the turbo?

no, there is 3 pipe going to the t-piece and you remove the turbo 1!
You now have 2 pipes left (none of them goin to the turbo)
You then just replace the 2 pipes and t-piece with 1 long pipe!

Get it?

The one that comes from turbo goes to the n75 as before! ;)

OH i see, that makes sens now, so there is NO vac pipe to the turbo with the ko3s? do you real have to exstend the MAF wires with the forge tip? is there no way of re-routting it to make it fit?

Never done it myself, but looking to. Yep jubilee clips but fine, definately replace the crush washers, well i would anyway. Also downpipe to turbo gasket and manifold to turbo gasket. Stud's and nuts for the downpipe to turbo. Thats about it i would think.

read all the posts and doesnt sound too bad, but what do you mean by cranking it off a few times to get the oil into the new turbo?
what the hell is cranking?

cheers!

Usually pull the fuel pump fuse and turn the engine over so that oil pressure builds in the turbo, otherwise known as priming the turbo.

Last thing you want is the car starting without oil in the turbo bearings.

i fitted my k03s to day its not a hard job to do my arms are very red though it is a tight job the best way to do this is drop the down pipe forst and remove all the other pipes so you can get the old turbo out buy new gaskets the only problem i have is getting the right metal turbo tip so i would find one first as the standed one is about 2mm to small
