yeah, you have the autowindow.com module, which is a bit of hardware you install into the door to control all the windows and mirrors. the kvw100 works by plugging into your obd2 port for a few minutes, in this time it updated the ccm software to allow the remote to be used to contol your windows. after it bleeps you remove the unit out of the obd2 port

Sorry guys, where is the port. I have brought the kvw100 and I have searched, but cant seem to find anything.

Underneath the ashtray and at the back of the storage space, in front of the gear stick. There is a little cover at the back. Carefully remove it and the port is there. :)

Nice one Allan :clap: Been searching for ages

Type to nip out to the staff carpark and look like I'm hot wiring a car

A word of warning.

Installed the KVW100 to my FR+, worked great. Then I programed a flip key and lost the auto up feature [:@]

I had to buy another unit to get the auto up feature back. So if you are thinking of getting a flip key, do that first!!

Cheers for the warning mate - not getting one of those, so no worries there.

How easy is it to get the ashtray out to get to the port, couldnt seem to get it our. Is there a little catch somewhere?

You dont have to remove the ashtray. Its under the ashtray in the back of the centre consol storage area, behind the gear lever.

If you look behind the gear lever you will see a rectangular cover with a cutout on one side, put a small screwdriver in the cutout and carefully prise out the cover.

Must of misunderstood Allan then, in front of the gearstick means in the back :confused:

Off we go to the carpark again.....

 at the confusion in here. Underneath the stereo is the ash tray, under this is the larger storage compartment. Which technically is in front of the gear lever :). The port access point is on the back of this storage compartment, you'll have to bend lower down to see it...

Like I said numerous times before. I'm the noobs of noobs with cars.

Did find it so thanks to both you guys. I plugged it in and it kept on beeping when it was finished, so I take it that it failed and it needs to be redone.

Had to take a call so couldnt have another go [:@]

this is not true, there is a way to reactivate it using the original kvw100 that originnally was used

like this

Put your key into the ignition and turn the ignition switch to "ON", there is no need to start the vehicle
Plug the KVW100 into your OBD-II interface plug. Make sure it is a snug fit. The KVW100 will give a single long beep, once it is fitted properly
When the green led light on the KVW100 is on, hold the drivers door "lock" button
When you hear a long beep from the KVW100 again, release the door "lock" button
Wait for 2 minutes you will hear kvw100 give 3 short beep then pull it out (using the same USED kvw module originally used)

HTH ;)

I did try the reactivation procedure, but as listed on their site "it only works sometimes".
Unfortunatly mine was one of these and I had to buy another unit.
My original warning is for those who may want to program a flip key and avoid the extra cost I have incured.
