Update:

Last night I fitted my Jabbasport heatshield and Jetex filter. Nice simple job yes, unless you have a strut brace, then it puts a spanner in the works! Not to worry, just need to trim some of the headshield back to stop it fouling on the strut brace:

and after that was done, everything was a piece of piss so here we go:

It sounds spot on and its also nice to hear the 007p spring into life. I have it set in reverse. Performance wise, I cant notice any gains in throttle as such, if anything, it feels maybe less aggresive which I've never experienced before going from panel to cone filter? Maybe its just me.
I'll be going onto a new exhaust next then a new map of some sort. Any advice on mods from you lot?

Cheers for looking

Good going mate. Looks awesome in the bay and as you have found out sounds immense. I love mine and wouldn't change it back as it gives the car some extra character ;)

Jetex open cone will lose some of the low down torque so when driving around town you might notice it
As for the exhaust i can recommend the blueflame turbo back, i think Ape has it too

Looks good mate. Do love my Jetex and jabbaspprt heatshield setup :)

Personally if I was you I'd uprate the TIP next to compliment that setup.. I'm running the badger5 3" one and it rocks ;)

Exhaust recommendations gotta be Milltek's new system but then I'm slightly biased! 3" downpipe, 200 cell sports cat and the tailpipe is a 6x4 oval exit. It's beautifully made as you'd expect from them. It will probably cost more than a Blueflame though.. They would be my 2nd choice.

Update:

Been meaning to do this mod since I bought the car. I couldnt find any mirror covers that were alreay made from carbon fibre so though Id have a go myself!

Bought some brand new covers:

and with some 'carbon' wrap, I had a blast. Not bad:

Then when I got the knack, I fitted them. Really happy with them and considering its not real CF, I think they look very good:

Mirrors look good, was thinking of doing the same thing on mine but a few folks said it was a nightmare so was going to just get gloss black ones instead, reckon they'd look good on my red car. Might still have a go seeing what a good job you did :)

Thanks for everyone's comments :)

Ape: Yes mate hopefully see you at the meet?

TDI jon: I'm very much into subtle, original changes when it comes to most cars and yes, I most certainly have a washing OCD. IT's been over a week since I washed it and I'm coming out in red blotches.
