im more tempted by the cupra tdi, extra 30 bhp standard, and all the bells and whistles
if it costs a bit more all round then so be it

that could be a deciding factor lol! needs more research, and it all depends if i get the van again if i can put a cupra on social only i'll be laughing!
Well hopefully you can mate I was looking at one before I got my FR, and it was working out an extra £1k insurance like I said - otherwise I'd have the Cupra!
Still, Im happy with my FR. Can easily get another ~40bhp and extra torques from a remap!

Only downside to having Cupra alloys is now your brakes look like bottle caps!

steering is a bit heavier and its not as quick off the mark as it was with 15s, but the road noise is improved and the car feels alot more solid and alot less crashy! so the pros outweigh the cons!

One thing you may have to check is if the larger wheels have affected the reading on your speedo - you might be going slightly faster/slower due to the change in wheels.
Obviously the 1.2 was never designed for 17" wheels, at worst it may only be about 2-3mph of a difference but it may land you a ticket.... you think you're doing 30 but you may be doing 33/34...
Best to check it with some sort of GPS speedo just to give you peace of mind, nothing you can do about it really, the only thing you could chnage would be the profile of the tyres...
Super jealous of how it looks now, wish I had the £££ for a new set of rims as there is a set of 17" Octavia Spiders in the for sale section and I'd love to stick them on the car!

ive got 2 toyo proxes on the front at 205/40 and 2 falken ones on the back at 205/45, the 45 on the back really improves the stance of the car
