It will relearn over time, but you're complaining now aren't you? it may take as long as 3 tanks to fully re-adapt, this way you're forcing the change quicker.

well worth doing for 20 mins work, most of which can be spent making & drinking a cup of tea

CupraUK: I did notice some extra power with the trial as i said, the car was defo a bit more aggresive but NOT £500 more aggrressive.

you wont get the gains from any other mod for this kind of money, If there is nothing wrong with your car and it is just a case of you expecting more performance then you got then I would say dont bother getting your car remapped and keep the money in your pocket, simple :D

Indeed! Think I'll spend the cash on a nice shiny ICE setup. something i can actually see/feel for those sorts of Benjamens!!!

erm ... no! I just said the Revo trial was not what i expected. Now it's expired the car runs as it did before, except with a mere ball hair's less power than it had with REvo

I'd put money on something being up with the car. No way can something that adds around 30bhp and **** loads of torque can feel like not much at all.

you obviously want to be going SLOWER than you already are then - ICE weighs a lot! :p

Seriously, I bet you've got something wrong with your car - I'd also think its probably somewhere as already suggested - MAF, DV, Boost leak and the like.

You really should feel the difference of 30bhp and about 50lbft torque. Perhaps talk to the garage that gave you the trial, tell them how unimpressed you were, and see if they'll help? They might be able to do some logging with you, and see if they can find the fault.

It'd be in their interests, espeically if you would be buying the full remap from them (and then maybe more bits to go with it ;) )

I had mine revo'd a couple of months ago and it was well worth the £470. It now feels like it always should have when it came out of the factory. Power delivery on the motorway is massively improved, as is the power on the lower gears, the only downside it's difficult to get the power down in 1st and second without lighting up the wheels.

i feel the same i love my revo had mine on the rollers at gti awesome on sat and i got
max power 193.55 max torque 240.59
max clutch power 205.33

so that will do me i don't know what they are stock but if feels like some one as got out and shoved when i put my foot down

@satilaboy
surly u could feel the difference i had the trail fist and i could tell
my car is clocking up 81000 miles now
and i love it i would say there is definitely something wrong with ya motor m8 what petrol u putting in it.
i put morrison crap in mine when i brought as there was no other petrol stations around and it felt like a coil pack was down dead sluggish and did not want to rev

really m8 have a remap is the best mod u can do for speed and power and well worth the money :funk:

satil fella, you keep taking the opportunity to say that its not worth it, everyone is offering you advice, to me is justified. Ive had a dms rechip and a revo remap in the past and revo is by far the smoothest and punchiest when you want it to be. A very quick log with vagcom on your maf readings will prove if your car is 100% fit, if it isnt then the 5 hour trial was a waste of time.

as already said by pabs go to the revo dealer and get them to check out your car as im sure they will be more then happy to help, I think for the money revo costs it is well worth it, like I said no other mods would give you 30 bhp and 50 torque, if you dont get the wow factor from this then there is something wrong, worth investigating this, please take the advice given in this thread as lots of the guys posting know there stuff, we are here to help fella

what are u wanting to do m8 if u want a vag.com log i sure some one on here will help u out if u go to a dealer m8 it will cost u

maf readings, actual & requested boost and so on.....

they only really scan for errors, an underperforming maf doesnt log fault codes as its still reading something, its only when it fails totally that you get lights appearing. theres bound to be someone near you that has a vagcom lead and software, maybe even think about buying a cable (12 quid of ebay plus trial version of vagcom, free) and running a laptop for 10 mins in the car.

If you want to pay the diognostic fee of £££££'s and labour fee of £££££'s then yeah. I wouldn't if I were you. It will cost you a small fortune.

Put a post on the VAG-COM section and see if anyone in your area will do some logs for you with theirs. I'm sure they will we are all a friendly bunch on here. :D

Mark give me a shout and I can check your maf etc if you want. We usually check things like that when doing the full software, not normally on the trial. Either pm me or phone me at work.
