Without a doubt, your car has issues. A revo completly transforms the way leons feel and drive... When you first have it, the extra pull will force you back into the seat.

Get it checked out mate, then see about another trial.

^ I don't totally agree. Its only another 20-25bhp, its not like its a massive gain. Still worth having though.

PS: I'm sure you can't have another trial

You can't by default, but I'm sure that if when you get your problem fixed you explain the situation to the Revo dealer they'll sort you out, especially if you mention this thread.

In fact you should talk to the Revo dealer about it, and get them to do some logging on your car. They can talk to Revo HQ on it.

Which dealer put the trial on your car?

I must admit I didn't notice a huge difference with my custom code till I got her on the track.... so different to standard just pulled and pulled without hesitation.....

Totally different to standard still didn't get any higher top speed but the power is delivered differently.... it is only a phase 1 when I get phase 2 on there I am reasured there will be a big difference even though it is only another 10-15bhp.

You can. I had to have about 3 trial versions downloaded on to my car due to the engine check light coming on. All the dealer will do is flash the ECU with the stock binary file then put the trial code back on again.

They were extremely helpful and so were Revo when I contacted them about my issues.

Got it all sorted in the end and I am so glad I have it. Worth every penny.

Speak to the dealer and if you get no joy (which I'm sure won't happen) get on to Revo and explain the situation but only once you have had the car checked out and sorted.

flash to stock does'nt work on all codes in my experience for allowing trial again (but this is probably ecu code dependant)

Are you real...Your saying adding 30bhp and nearly 50 ft-lbs torque wont be that noticeable. Time you went back to numpty land. It should completly transform the way the car drives and feels.

I have corresponded with the chap from Drivers in glasgow where i got the trial and he has very kindly suggested I take the car in for him to have a look at it and take some logs to see if he can identify any issues with my car.

I'll keep you all posted.

Satilaboys problem was with a 20VT Revo'd,.....i take it there is no question that on the PD150 Revo'd there is a very noticable difference as it +40 bhp and +40 torque??

30bhp would be very top end, down here in numpty land, Revo added exactly 15bhp to mine. Rolling road before and after, same place, same technition. Not earth shattering. Don't get me wrong, I love it.

i might not be getting the whole picture here but there seems to be some very big differences between bhp figures.

15bhp? any gain is good but that isnt much for a remap.

why so low?

gonna get slated for this from the masses of satisfied revo peeps out there ...

but im so glad i went to jabbasport! they wanted as much power out of the map as i did... and would have looked for reasons if it came out poor.

at least then youd know what to change to improve things.

perhaps youll get more tech input if you went for the whole revo set up not just the trial...
hope they can sort your car mate as theres lots of fun to be had with a remap

I think its mostly down to the car.
Std stage 1 revo is quoted at a 27bhp increase (180-207) but if the car has a higher bhp than std to start with then i suppose it cant give any extra... well, not without the other mods and stage 2 anyway.

I went from 180 - 232 with stg 2 remap, exhaust, 4bar fpr, dv and air filter. I've added an FMIC since then and am certain i have more torque, and possibly more power too.

Pabs hit the nail on the head, mine was not 180 standard, it was 191 (obviously taking the dyno lottery into consideration) but the relative was 191-206.

ok me getting confused.... so standard revo can almost cap the power... stage 2 is variable and mod dependent. got it.

at first i thought youd been mapped from 180 to 195!

i`ll shush now :hide:

I wouldn't say Revo caps the power, it DOES take most standard LC to 205-210 bhp, but obviously how much difference you feel depends on what you were in the first place.

So, Revo doesn't add 27bhp to what you've got, it takes you without other mods to 207.
