one thing that puzzels me is how my maps have always been on lower levels of boost compared to you revo boys?

how can we both hit say 210bhp from 180 using different levels of boost?
what other factors come into play? (imagining both are stock lc`s)

bhp is a product of torque and rpm, if revo boosts higher but does it at lower revs then bhp may not peak out so high, whereas another map may produce higher torque figures through boost higher up the rev range ending up with the same sort of figure.

Its been said before, it all depends on how you prefer the delivery to be, I like the big hit that Revo produces.

Do you have a RR graph? we can put them up togehter and compare.

comparing one dyno to another is like measuring something in strides...

you'll get it 'about' right - but it won't be accurate enough

dyno's are all different, and operated by different people, at different times of the day, in different weather conditions.

Too many variables - if these were all fixed then comparing rr figures would be more reliable info, but bearing in mind you can have an RR operator who's done the job for 10+ years and know what he's doing, and a spanner monkey operating another who sets things up differently.

Hence the term "lottery" - if you went back to the same dyno a week later chances are your figures could be quite different.

heres my old dyno plot. this was pushing the turbo to 10 psi ish. :)

intrested in seeing a revo plot and psi used .

i realise this is a little off topic but i might be useful:rolleyes:

wee bit more than 10psi there dude.... 1.35 bar that will be - so ~19psi peak, then tailling off

think im getting bar psi mixed up.. was running psi back then... now bar:D

so am i right in thinking that revo maps push more boost to get same figures?

if both cars achieved say 210bhp say one jabba/one revo would they run equal levels of boost?

you're looking at one number, in many

more boost = more torque, generally lower down.

most Revo'd cars run the same boost as I suggested with yours (1.35bar) if running High boost settings of course

making it sustained, is the key thing - which *most* stupid SPS3 users don't get their heads round.

mate ive just looked at my old psi gauge and im certain it peaked at 15psi and held at 11. im sure the gauge is good but who knows

what im trying to understand is where is the power coming from if its not the turbo? more air more power right?

so how come the highest boost levels dont always get the highest bhp?
