Cheers Bret man, will give it a go......oh and thanks.

Btw you mentioned refurbing your brembos (which im gonna do too) but did you know as a short term fix, use T-cut red on the rears. I done mine years ago and the bright red, and heavy gloss lasts for AGES! Paint the front.....but t-cut the rears (unless of course there is paint coming off)

Yeah it's easy ull be fine are the instructions ok or there anything you want me to clear up??

That sounds good i think i will give that ago a little less time consuming as winding in the rear caliper pistons etc. get on my tits  do you go to any meets at all??

The instructions are clear as day mate..ta.

I used to go as much as i could, used to be a MK meet, but that stopped. So only London-ish ones now, that i sometimes cant be assed with lol. Need to get my ass out there again, but wheels and brembos need refurbing so im always anxious of these things at shows.... ;-)

Honestly regarding the t-cut...i did mine with he wheel ON. Easy peasy and long lasting.

Looked a little weird as you changed direction, and I would get rid of the chrome bit. Just my opinion though.

Bloody hell your never happy:rofl:yeah when the weathers better I will sand it down and give it a spray,I was thinking matte black to go with grills but am debating gloss to go with the car wha do you reckon????

Good addition to the stealth look. :coolthumb

Can you help me with the heatshield? :help: I've got the same as yours, fitted a Jetex filter (the bigger, FR-08001 one: https://www.jetex.co.uk/jetex/store/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=6711), but the whole shield is resonating with the engine and the filter itself. Besides the odd sound on low RPMs I don't want to damage the filter. :( The FR-08001 hardly fits in the space the heatshield has.

Well I removed all the old filter box made sure it was fitted tight and I went to my local motorstore and purchased some adhesive foam pads to stick on the heatshield between anywere I felt it might tap or rattle against kinda like a sponge effect and because of how wide my filter is being a triangular k&n I rotated it when I fit it to the maf.as yours is a cone you may have to modify the shield itself as I will modify the opening for the neck on mine to get a tighter fit to the maf appart from that not sure I can help you :(

The shield is the same what Badger5 offers, the complete induction kit comes with a Jetex filter, so it should fit perfectly.

I'll try the adhesive foam, thanks for the advice! :) The engine roar is really huge on low RPMs, I don't think it's normal (sounds like as smaller cars fitted with way too big cone filters ). How does yours sound?

Mine just gives the engine a deeper sound and runs well with forge split-r and n249 bypass makes a lot of whooooooooosh from the d/v.Some filters will be noisier so dont worry.my heatshield is not from badger 5 mine is from ebay ;)

16 mate runs shweeeeeet but some people run 15 depends how yours takes to it but Im running mine with the bung so it's fully re-circulating because it sounded the same but run a little sluggy when I ran the atmospheric cone :D and yeah that's the same one lol
Full recirc here too. The trumpet gave me limp mode, that's why I went for an open cone.

Have you secured the MAF sensor to the shield, or just got it through the hole? I'm planning to get some silicone hose joiner, maybe I can realign the filter with it.

Yeah I have debated getting a hose joiner haven't found one yet gotta link????as all my hoses are probably going red now anyway.

Nothing yet. :( In the Badger5 section Bill offers alloy and silicone joiner to these filters, but I don't know the size of them.

If I run into something in connection with this, I'll post it here. ;)

Yeah i did looks wicked mate,so what you think I should do with the surround matte or gloss?haha well I think your rude:rofl: ;)

Maybe gloss if everything else is.
Not meaning to be rude though. Different opinions is a good thing! :)
