I looked at getting something like that made at work but was concerned about taking to much air from the rad, which is why I looked eleswhere. i would defo be interested in something i could just buy to replace a standard grill.

I just want to know that every bit of air that is entering the scoop/grill/port is getting rammed into the filter. i want a good, solid, sealed cold air feed.

I think I said before, I do a lot of miles I didn't want a cold feed from the foglight hole, I didn't want to be "pinching" air from the intercooler and I have my own theories about radiant heat from tarmac on hot days.

Also, if you read up, you're best siting your intake at a high pressure point on the front which happens to be right where VAG put it, just above the bumper line (although, the highest pressure point would be smack in the center). This will, in theory, pressurise the airbox slightly as long as you have a nice volume of air in the airbox.

Have a search for "final frontier"

Yeh VAG Spend millions designing there cars. They would have put it in the correct place. I never like the idea of a low air flow due to water!!

Any one done a HID fog light convertion :O might look nice :D

Take the fogs out and leave them in a drawer at home - you'd be surprised home much of the intercoolers they block. Can't say whether it'd actually make any difference though...

.... remove the plastic thats there for cosmetics.

If anyone's got these lying around, can I have them ? (or the part numbers)

my outside air-temp sensor's just flapping about in the wind at the moment cos my LCR bumper didn't come with these bits in it ... or my bodyshop lost them :(
