Just a quick question. I'm suspecting my maf to be faulty and was just wondering if anyone had bought one of the mafs for £50 on eBay with a years warranty? Thanks

Dont waste your money it wont work...just buy a bosch one (i brought the ebay one for my mk4 golf and it ran like **** so returned it and got another and that ran like **** too)

just so people know I bought a MAF sensor off ebay seller sjk-spares and mine worked perfect, no boost problems, no idle problems, no dash lights on. and I paid £30 with delivery for my 1.8t leon cupra.

Gsf and euro car parts are Bosch mafs the same as standard aren't they? Will.i.am have you got a link to the eBay page? Thanks

with a year guarentee you cant go wrong and can always get a refund if it didnt work. they say they use the same stuff as bosch may be the same you never know so many different sellers out there to compare i just rely on feedback. just a suggestion and review of it. I have no way of checking the calibration so I wouldnt know the difference.
I wouldn't use that as a door-stop!!!

thats fair enough every person has their own opinion. if it fails I can get a refund and buy genuine but no harm in trying to save money. I know the expression you get what you pay for but ive got the origional in my boot incase any change does occur simple 2minute job to change back. OBD hasnt picked up any fault though

MAFs can be faulty and not show up a fault code.

just fitted one from euro car parts and its running spot on again. its a bosch but im not sure about the calibration of the sensor. thanks to everyone for your inputs.
