Update, got an online valuation from dealer who has the LCR.
I've bought 4 cars from them in the past and 1 of them was 2 months ago.
They have always given OK valuations on my p/ex and their cars are very fairly priced (big car supermarket)............until now!
Got a bad valuation. About £700 less than I would need/expect.
The valuation would appear to be totally wrong.
Parkers, whatcar and another site gave me valuations and all were the same or more than I would expect. None of them indicated the very low value I've been given.
I appreciate the parkers etc are guides. And also that dealers work of their own pricing little book.
So I paid on the Glass Guide site which I would guess is more accurate and even that was similar or even more than what I thought the vauation would be. My car is perfect (FSH, very good condition, 9 months MOT etc etc except for a couple of very small parking dings). I would say it falls in between Excellent and Good condition. So anywhere between £5330 and £5920. My p/ex from dealer was £4800!
I appreciate they did it online from details I supplied but the seem to have given me a value for a car in poor condition.
I need to go and see them and get a fairer price this weekend or any dreams of an LCR will be gone!
Will go and see their LCR as well, if its not in excellent condition and I dont get a better value then will have to keep looking. I should try a test drive whilst im there.
