hi guys, after having my 55 plate lcr a week the traction control light has come on permanently, have tried to read the fault memory with my code reader but it is saying no faults are stored.

any advice??

i had this happen to me not long ago. i was havin boost problems. i unpluged the maf sensor (mass air flow) which made my car boost ok but after a while the traction control light came on.
check that your maf sensor is pluged in.

my engine light did come on but it took ages. also the maf didnt come up with a fault until the engine light came on

I unplugged my MAF last week. Traction control light was the only light I had on to indicate a problem. Found it weird, but cleared as soon as MAF was plugged back in.

yes that will help a great deal. but first make sure the maf is pluged in, if u have only had the car a week the owner before may have unpluged it.

i put a universal cone filter on once that was abit small and that caused the traction light to come on so maybe the engine on urs isnt getting enough air flow?

all sorted now folks, was because i have replaced a lower ball joint and put the steering off centre, just needs the alignment sorting out.thanks for the advice.

special thanks to cordoba kid for the vag com

Mine is quite a bit out so might explain why mine is on, i had a problem in my clio and it kept coming on turned out brake fluid was low, but not the usual warning, the leon jus shouts at me when its low and doesnt stop BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP.

I have a similar problem. I had tracking done yesterday and wheel is not centred when driving. Then TC light came on. Seems it will sort itself out if I get the tracking done properly...
