LCR Turbo question!

I've always let my engine sit if I've used the turbo a lot just to make sure that the oil can get round the turbo instead of it dropping out.

I must admit, Im very fussy about warming mine up PROPERLY!! ie at least 10 mins of driving before i use the turbo.

Although having said that, the previous owner probably ragged it from cold anyway!!

I don't advise remote start's on TDI's. Because generally you turn the ignition half way, to warm up the glow plugs. Using the remote start, you avoid that.

I heard that newer TDI's sometimes warm the glow plugs when you unlock the car / open the door?

isnt the coolant pump pwered by a belt from the cams or is plain electric motor!
when the water pump fails, people change the cambelt as well as its linked!

im guessing mate but i think its electrical. you can here it wirring away after you turn off. seperate circuit?
