O-M-G that was shocking. I dread to think the amount of people having the same problem! I am glad I held back and didnt go meth.

Well done robbie - very impress my friend.

nothing wrong with meth when done properly.
its just shocking how manufacturers can neglect something so fundermentally basic as nozzle fitment and spray cone hitting the mounting..
Lots of +ve stuff from wmi usage, added timing, reduced AIT's, lower CF, lower egts... I swear all K04 cars should run it as std given how hot they all run.

I agree Bill.

Hopefully my FMIC situation is sorted and I can move onto things like WMI.

I think the snow performance nozzle spray pattern is a wider cone.. DO one looks very much like Aquamists at about 70 degree cone.. Snows was closer to 90 degree which if mounted like DO do, would have made it splutter even worse!

Hi Robbie you get the gasket and you get my pm :) really impressed with the spacer your using, u think this will stop any meth being sucked through on vacuum?

G-Day Paul, yeah i got the gasket, thanks ;) i sent you a PM about it,( i think)
I can't see any reason for seapage(spelling ) on vacuum, the check valve is only about 1inch from the nozzle and even if it does it will be minor, i guess the only way around this would be the solenoid DO offer.

Also with this spacer you will need longer M6 bolts( Woodies DIY, €1.50) and another TB gasket or just make one yourself.

PM me your number or even better a skype number and i'll give a buzz tomorrow about the other thing[B)]

Hey Ho all,

Not much updates here, i have been looking for inspiration over the last few days on things to do to my car.

I decided to have it dyno'ed again on the same dyno i made 305bhp/329lb/ft to see how things have come along, it made 317.5bhp and 314lb/ft :D:funk: thats a nice increase considering she was knocking on cyclinder 2(which i still have not got to the bottom of).

They guy doing the dyno was very helpful and has many years expierence in motorsport, his advise was to first rule out stuff like coil packs, dodgy plug injectors etc... and then try the NGK heat range 8 as i'm running 1.8/9 bar of boost. He also explained how i could be losing power on the top end with this timing pull, he has seen 2degrees timing add 10bhp on the top end so its defo work trying to get to the bottom of why it is only knocking on cyclinder 2.

Well anyway, 317bhp & 314lb/ft is a step in the right direction considering this was on 95ron!!!!, it made 305bhp & 329lb/ft the last time it was on this dyno.:D:D:D

At least i feel inspired now to get out and do new stuff to her.

rob what else can you do to it only big turbo now surley?.

I have thought about this and i like my low end torque, BT is a bitter sweet solution, high BHP and no low end pull, i don't think i'll ever go BT.

This car has more left in it on its current setup at least 10-15bhp me thinks.

Great result Rob :), defo more power left in this set up, 340 bhp waiting to be released. Improvements in your wmi set up appear to have helped. Look forward to seeing gains in the plugs if you change them, keep up the good work.

Thanks Willy, for sure there is more power there, the WMI is defo helping things, i will get a new set of plugs early next week so it will be interesting to see.A lot of the time i am guiltly of not keeping an eye on plugs or just install the ones recommended from the forums so they get over looked sometimes, i have NGK Iridiums IX at the moment, they might not be coping with the heat to well.Interesting to see how plugs can make a different to EGTs!

I read a great atricle on NGK tonight, http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/tech_support/spark_plugs/index.asp?mode=nml

Just for good measure, spotted these on speedhunters.com

Well last night I got bored and decided to remove the N75 and run the turbo straight off the mbc, to my surprise the boost reacts in exactly the same way, 1.8bar down to 1.4bar by 7k rpm which tells me this turbo is basically doing as much as it ever will and or the actuator shipped with it is pants, i don't know, i am quit surprised about this tbh.

I still have not got around the timing pull only on cylinder 2, tried new plugs, swapped over coil packs, plugs and injectors, I'm stumped.

interesting rob. maybe worth trying on mine seeing as its not pulling as it should and could highlight a duff n75 maybe. good luck with sorting out the pull issue.

Maybe, my mbc is set to 1.8bar so the waste gate should no be opening before this, strange how can't hold more than 1.4bar at redline, WG cracking open under pressure i wonder.I have 1.1bar preload for flip sake!
