LCR Window tints

never a truer word spoken, seen some pony efforts at DIY jobs, bubbles, tears, massive gaps, pro's make it look easy but i really don't think that sort of quality comes overnight
hi Nev for some reason it doesnt let me PM can you give me some piccies of a red leon with the different shades if possible,
i want it tinted the guy by me is pusshing for dark rears and light front , think it was 50 -55% front
but i would rather have it all looking the same with a light tint , look good and protect my little one

fronts light. rears medium and back window limo.
with the LCR it looks darker thanks to the black roof lining, other cars look different it all depends on interior, but i would say if you want to keep it legal and not have the front done but dont go to dark on the back or it looks like a van, unless you want to hide things like a baby or tools.

you cant see in the back of my car due to the limo rear window, so if you want it for looks have limo rear window to darken it and then just light or mediem on the rear sides.

D&C Police force are now prosecuting for dangerous parts fitted if the front windows are lower than 30%. In court this can lead to a disqual.
When I am issuing a prohibition for front tints we have to use the Catergorisation of Defects and in there it is as follows:
0%-30% = Immediate Prohibition
30%-45% = Delayed Prohibition
45%-70% = Advisory
From the 28/05/2009 VOSA will be issuing endoresable fixed penalty notices and tinted windows will receive a £30 fine as well as removing the tint.
So best not to tint the front windows or if you do dont get stopped by D&C Police. I work closely with traffic down here in Plymouth and it is a pet hate but they cant take you to court unless they have a reading and they only have one Tint Man. (I have 2!)
It'll pass MOT every year due to it not being included yet (this is probably gonna change).
I have Slate 5% on the rear of my LCR it looks good and it helps with the baby.
