Has anyone seen any pictures of an LCR fitted with BBS LMs? If so, could you post some on here.

Alternatively, if anyone is a bit tasty with photoshop and have a spare five minutes?

Thinking of purchasing a set and, considering the investment, want to make sure I am happy first!

hi, they won't fit over the brembo's mate. although they have a nice offset, due to the style of the wheel the inner part fouls the caliper. even with spacers the wheel will stick outside of the arch.

you could change the brakes to an R32 setup if you really wanted to fit LM's or a smaller tarox/porsche caliper may work

Even with R32 brakes you need 10-15mm spacers, not a sniff of fitting over my Porsche setup.

They look awesome but far too inpractical for everyday use, believe me.

Surely that would be dependent on size of the wheel???
its not the size of the wheel thats the issue. more the style.
Its the distance horizontally from the inside of the alloy spokes to the brembos thats the issue.
If the spokes are deep set (set in from the outside of the alloy), then they are too close to the brembos.
If the alloy is spaced away from the brembos so that the spokes clear the brembos then it protrudes outside the wheel arch.

made by brembo though

i was just saying there is a big similarity

ok, assuming they are the same size, then the other reason would be that the wheel arches are wider.
You could get the alloys on a LCR with spacers. no probs. The issue is that the wheels would protrude the wheel arch on the LCR.

However BBS CH i would think fit.

If you can geta pic of the TT that be great, as if it is possible then it would prove many a tuner wrong.

because porshe brakes are not brembo brakes.

the porshe calipers are slimmer than brembos.

Which Porsche calipers?? And yes they ARE Brembo brakes, well all late Porka calipers are, be more precise.
LCR Brembo's are slightly custom GT Junior calipers with VAG designing the carrier to suit the VAG hub and disk arrangement.

There are literally 100's of different variations and applications most of which can, with the correct mounting brackets and choice of disks/bells, be made to fit.

My Porsche calipers and other ones I have had direct experience with have been wider than the GT/LCR brembos so I dont know where your comment comes from.

There is no definitive answer to this as there are so many different combinations to choose from. Disk/hub offset, wheel offset, wheel width etc.

As I've already said, you could be looking at 15mm spacers to clear the back of the spokes. That's what I needed with Porsche GT3 calipers and 10mm with GT's and R32 brakes.

If your budget allows then remember that LM are split rims so you could order a set with exactly the right dimensions for your application but dont expect change out of £2k.

as you say there are many different set ups. The set i saw appeared thinner, but then ive now seen some the same size or larger than LCR brembos.
Therefore if someone has these alloys on their TT then perhaps this is to do with the dimensions of the arch comared to the hub.

If you require 15mm spacers if the ET is 35 then on a 8" wide rim the tyre would protrude the wheel arch. Certainly LCR with 10mm spacer and 35ET alloys that i have seen are right on the limit regarding wheel arch/tyre tread.

i have also been looking at these wheels after seeing them on piston heads on a golf. they look lovely.

there are some fairly cheap LM 'style' ones on ebay, but if they dont fit, they dont fit. as u say, we wont know untill someone tries it.

Damn, Damn and Damn.

Indeed they don't fit. Tried at STS in Slough this morning.

They would need 25mm spacers to clear the calipers; ergo, the outer rim then protruding from the arch by around 30mm.

Not good.

Any other options???
