Took me a while to remember to ring them, but I rang Lockwood on Friday, who said they'd posted the prototypes that morning.

When they arrive I'll get some photos and ask them when they'll be on the website for sale.

I'll keep you posted!

:funk::1st::dance:woooo! The prototypes have arrived from Lockwood today, they look stunning!

2 parts for each door sill, top part has a line through, bottom part has LEON etched in.

As soon as I'm home I'll get a picture for you, I know these have been long sought after now, by me and by others!

I'll be fitting them Sunday, and contacting Lockwood Monday to give them my views.
When I call them I'll find iut when they'll be available online! (they weren't when I checked yesterday)

Standby!

Okay chaps, here are some photos of the finished product!

I'm not sure if there are different designs in the pipeline, but I love the ones they've sent me.
I've left a message for Lockwood to call me back in the AM to find out when they'll be online & how much they'll cost, so I'll let you all know.

Morning all,

I had an email from Lockwood last night stating that the sill protectors are now available to buy from Lockwood's website!

Direct Linky

They are priced at £53.95 + £6.50 carriage, totalling £60.45.

The email did then, however, read as follows:
"If however any of your contacts want to ring us direct to order, we can supply to them for £55.45 for a short period."
I know it's only five notes off, but hey, five is better than none!
Note: I think this will only be a week or so at best, so if you want a discount, give them a call on 0113 244 0070, ask for Steve, and tell him you're calling from SCN.

Lockwood have provided a really good customer experience throughout, and I have to take my hat off to them, they've done a brilliant job!

I've got my fingers crossed now that admin don't remove this message, as I'm not selling anything, and don't stand to gain anything from it!

Thanks all!

Going to get my brother to order me a set asap lol for that price. Thought it would have been around the same price as the golf ones though

Don't forget to tell him to ring up and say he's from SCN for the discount pal!

As for the price, the Leon ones are more expensive than the Golf for the simple fact that there are 8 pieces instead of 4. (Our sills are a bit bigger than the Golf ones...) and so they had to factor in the extra cost of materials & labour for the extra bits.
Still... I wish they were a little cheaper too!

I've just fitted mine at long last and they look awesome!

How are these fitted? Sticky back?

I don't know if I can justify that price for some. I don't really understand the point of sill protectors (I've never even seen a sill be scratched) apart from looking tasty. It's an expensive item to look tasty! lol

They just have double sided foamy tape on the backs of them, yeah.

As for cost, I can see where you're coming from... if you had kids who regularly jump all over your car etc... then maybe they're a must, but for me it's just the look of them.

I never had them on my Clio, and never needed them. I don't 'need' them on my Leon, but I love the look of them :)

They look quite decent - although I personally would prefer them to be a tiny bit longer. Or am I being too fussy?!

They do look good anyways :) may have to look into them.
