Ok as I promised I finished building the intercooler setup and installing the Cupra R body kit on my Leon 4 so now the car except for the engine has been completely converted into a Cupra R
I have uploaded pics from the build it took about 3 days of work intercooler is black anodized and all intercooler piping is powder coated black 6063 aluminum
2.5” hot side into 3” intercooler to 3” cold side to 80 mm TB into SEM manifold via V-band I have the original DV connected at the moment as you can see but have the Tial flange welded in already because my BLACK Tial QR has not arrived yet so once it arrives all I need to do is drill out the 1” pipe in the center and install the TIAL QR
i did all the work my self at a Friends shop but all credit for the awsome welds them self goes to Luria
I will have some pics of the car after body kit up in a few days after I give her a good wash
Next coming up is a 3” exhaust system I am working on from DP to rear muffler stay tuned for that then in the summer a 4” open dump DP with Tubular exhaust manifold a “BIG” turbo and TIAL 44mm WG open dump and if all goes to plan end of summer I finish building it the ENGINE will go in and get tuned for hi boost

The only thing not cool is the eyebrows on the lights, otherwise it looks tremendous. What sort of power do you think you will be aiming for? The RS breaks are awesome.

put aside the fact I have issues with my own I haven’t put much thought into whether the car looks good with them or not that’s how I got the car when I bought it, it was the only mod to it I haven’t had time to deliberate whether they look good ore not because I have been concentrating on getting over 700+ hp out of the engine when I do finally get to that goal I promise you all I will take all you thoughts into consideration and see what can be done about dismantling the eyebrows
anyhow you think they look bad you should see mine they are growing in all directions ….now please back to subject

painting the FMIC in black, you do not take it away yourself cooling properties because ah coat of paint in the combs?

I can’t understand what you are trying to say
but the intercooler isn’t painted in black it is anodized black which is a special process of enhancing the natural process of oxidization on the outer lair of aluminum so no it will not heart the cooling capability’s of the intercooler but actually it should help cooling because of the chemical reaction on the outer lair that changes the crystal form of the aluminum
anyhow its only a few microns thik
also it comes with other advantages such as protecting the aluminum from corrosion
I was trying to say if you had painted the ic?
... because he would lose cooling properties because the layer of paint on top of the combs, because that way would cost more air to pass through the holes less cooling, since the smaller the combs will be less cooling. but if you say it was not painted ... I take that back.

Looks the nuts mate those brakes are hugeeee , and your engine is filthy lol, I have done my bumper the same and honey comb front bit but I left the S out, this thing will be a monster

R32 steering wheel from any of the first generation MKIV R32's
no issue with steering wheel ore Air bag it’s a direct bolt on
you can go with the original Cupra R steering wheel but I personally don’t like it, the R32 is more comfortable has a better grip and doesn’t come with hideous red stitch

OK some progress
First of all ill start with a BBK project I have been working on for the rear of the car to fix the bias of the front braking power
Not that it’s too bad but considering I’m running a set of 365mm 8 pot Brembo's in front I though it couldn’t heart to upgrade the rear
So hear you go, I got a set of custom brackets cut up to fit a set of Cayenne 4 pot Brembo calipers and a set of Brembo parking brake calipers from a Jaguar S type R
Discs are any front 312mm (GTI/TT/Cupra) just waiting for a set of braded lines specially made for the swap that are on the way and the set of Brembo parking calipers
I am going to get the cayenne calipers powder coated in black to match the front brakes as well before I get them fitted

And now to real progress a few parts came in for the Exhaust system I’m working on so next week I’m going to get it build
Custom made 3” all the way with all V-band connections and all Stainless Steel 304
You can see the Stainless Steel 304 V-bands turbo flange and CO2 bungs and also one set of 4” V-band to conect the two parts of the DP and two 4” to 3” transaction that are intended for the 4” DP I will be building when I finally get the intended turbo
