Leon Cupra Test Drive- first impressions

I have been reliably informed that an uprated air intake, turbo back exhaust and the correct remap will see a minimum of 320bhp on a "mild" map.

A more savage map would see that pass 330bhp. When the limitation (fuel) is sorted, the standard turbo may manage closer to 350bhp although you would need a bigger intercooler and probably an LSD to make proper use of it.

I test drove a Cupra in May of last year, and after reading this thread, I think something was wrong with the one I drove... Wasn't impressed at all.

It was between that and a Mazda 3 MPS 2.3T. And after the disapointing drive, I chose the MPS.

Strange ....

Yes was a brilliant car.

Just got rid of it cos of fuel costs, but would have loved to of kept it.

It was hard not to like the 380NM Torque and 256Bhp.

Don't get me wrong... Looks wise I think the new Leon is better, but it was purley the differance in performance that pursuaded me.
