Hi,

Hope im not being a complete idiot but would appreciate some help (I think i am being an idiot!)

Changing the rear pads on my leon (not a cupra, just a box standard 1.6 SX). Got the caliper off ok and the old pads out however I cant push the piston in? no matter how hard i try it wont move, if i lightly tap the brakes the piston comes out so i know its not stuck or fused in.

Can anyone help?!?!?!

Cheers,

Craig

Dont push them!
see the two holes, well you need to wind and push, either get the tool for the job (got mine for £10) or pliers work

ah cheers - its a bit dark now so cant have a look - where abouts are the two holes, do you mean i have to physicaly turn the piston as I push?

where can i get the tool from as at the minute the piston is out and i cant even fit the old pads in. oops !

excellent thank you, i hope i have not done any damage as ive been trying to push it in (quite hard!) without winding (as my previous car used to)

Do you think ive done any damage?

I wouldnt have thought so, i only know about hwo they work as i tried to do my dads, then read the haynes and thought oooops!

I was about to go and buy one tomorrow if i couldnt find the answer !

Thank you so much for your help, will give it a go first thing and let you know how it goes.

Cheers Again!

Craig
