So your telling me I cant say the car I went to see on saturday after travelling 400 miles was a dog? - should I say not as described - or wasnt quite what I was expecting??

Surely as consumers we have the right to discuss products between ourselves, if only in our own unqualified opinion, any pontential consumer of said product is then armed with others "opinions" - but they still have the right to make their own minds up surely.

If I saw a LCR that was in a prang on here and fixed to a high standard, then it would actually encourage me to see the car.

You have answered your own question. This site is hosted and run by like minded guys who want to pull together and discuss a common passion. We all need to be responsible about what we write as it is viewable by non members! Mork is saying you should be able to tell what you can get away with posting.
Loads of people post questions on here seeking legal advice. Why is someone gives it without prompting and it is critisised![:@]

I am not attacking anyone - first off my tone must come across differently as to how I meant it.

I have no idea what the law is, thats why I appreciate the mods giving advice. Of course I didnt know it wasnt ok to start the thread I did - I wouldnt have done it with the knowledge it could cause problems.

Its a huge area for pitfalls and like others I find it confusing and full of weird twists. Had we been in the pub or somewhere discussing it, my tone would of been one of surprise that its not ok to discuss something like that.

Now I fully understand and wont bring up the subject again. I am but a keen SEAT fan on the hunt for what I consider to be a clean car, so I can share the passion!

Top man!
Essentially if someone was selling a car and a buyer walked away and the seller had a copy of bad reports that were unfounded, the authorities could shut the site down and we would all have to do something more serious like DIY or mow the lawn!
