Lift off noise

Turbo Solenoid problem???

Over the past few weeks I have had a problem where you get a vibration through the pedals and a buzz at 2500 in most gear esp 2nd. Also noticed that when you are in 2nd and go past 2500 say to 3000 and lift off i can hear a buzz noise as the revs drop. Goes just away just below 2500. It appears to be from the drivers side. Either from engine or dash. Any I deas. I have looked on the site and someone had exactly the same symptons I have got and it turned out to be the turbo solenoid???

Looking more into it I really think It would be the turbo solenoid. That could also explain boost problems aswell!

Phil if your talking about the solinoid that sits on the drivers strut, then i have a spare one so we can rule that one out

I dont have a clue which solenoid it is....just looking into seems like its the turbo one. Is that the N75. Would solenoid been buggerd effect boost. Cheers

IRC the MK4 TDI Ibizas dont have a separate N75 like for example the Fabia Vrs and all is controlled with this box of tricks. Do you have any fault codes that show up? It may be a faulty MAP sensor perhaps but in all honesty, *** not known any MK4s that have needed any of these parts changing

No fault codes at all. Its getting checked out on monday!

Just got back from the garage and they couldnt fine anything wrong. Could it be the heat shield??? *** it rattle at a certain rpm?

Buzzing vibration feeling could be from the plastic boost pipes knocking on the fuel pump........ this is a common problem on most Mk4 tdi ibizas.A bit of foam inbetween could cure it

My derv had it and used to do it when it came on boost.

The pipe on the cupras is metal. I have checked there and I cudnt physicaly move the pipe that close to the fuel pump. I wish it was that!

Ah right not that then. It could of course be the DMF vibrating under heavy laod when at peak torque, is the cupra mapped at all???????

Yes but i dont think its dmf as it does it when the map is switched off!

doesnt matter matey, if the dmf is fooked, it will do it weather the map is on or off. what mileage is on the car?????

Its 10K. It doesnt feel like dmf problem as its more like a buzz rather tha a vibration.
